All I want for Christmas is a…. Scrapbox!
This post is intended as a big hint, so if you don’t live with me then, please, skip off to what you should be doing. Feeding the kids maybe or checking the lottery numbers? If you DO live with me, then you know how messy all my stuff is. How I leave paper and books and pens and paints and calculators and magazines and works-in-progress all round the place. You know I have only good intentions and I don’t mean to do it… but there’s no point in putting it all away if I’m going to need it later in the day, is there?
Anyway, you-who-puts-up-with-me-and-my-stuff, I saw this and thought of you. Well, actually, I thought of me but you were next. Promise!

You might not quite know what this is but go here for more:
Mmm… oh I could put a lot of stuff in there!

When I moved into my flat I was determined to be organised like that. I bought a double and a single cupboard which conveniently fitted along the end wall, and a matching dressing table (effectively a single pedestal desk) and a chest of drawers (which extended the desk nicely, for my printer etc). Looked great. But now I have so much stuff I can’t open the cupboard doors without a major reshuffle, and then I can’t open the drawers unless I put it all back again. I occasionally have a tidy up, but then I can’t find anything. Those wonderful storage systems are great if one is an organised person to start with.
Having said that, on the odd occasion I make the effort to get into the cupboards its a voyage of discovery coming across stuff I had forgotten I had. Must be boring to be too organised!
